Howson/Bolton and Hawkins/Hawkins were in the original start list but are not shown in the recalled 157, They would have had to qualify as they did not compete last year. They are also completely missing (not even shown as "withdrawn") from the "No results for these couples". Like they just disappeared.. Reply Quote

(Of course they were both dancing the teammatch, but remember dancing 5 dances in a spacious floor is not exactly the same as dancing 40 dances in one day, while couples around you fight for their life and empty floorspace.) The probability of the same couples getting injured at the same competition twice is so minimal that something else has to be the cause of the withdrawal. Reply Quote

They can dance few rounds, but in Blackpool they would have to dance from the first round, and they did not feel good enough. Reply Quote
Elaine Joined on 28 Jan 2003 Total posts: 128	Re: Blackpool Professional Ballroom Monday, 02 June 2008 07:24 Simply Dancer, I think the reason that the two couples didn't dance at Blackpool last year was not through injury but because they were both representing England at the Professional World Championships which took place in Blackpool on the day following the British Open comp. Presumably they felt that they gave themselves a better chance at the World event if they wern't attempting to dance two such big events in two days?? Reply Quote
