Word  in the dancing world is that Assen is reaping the rewards for its past resilience.

Talking to competitors It would see that -

there has been a very positive reaction to the agreement reached between NADB and the organisers with the result that this year there will be more competitors and from more countries.

Also the "workshops" which are not only  fabulous value but unmissable in terms of the amount of knowledgable available for receptive minds and bodies are in far higher demand this year.

The new innovation with the introduction of regional competitionshas been very well received in Holland  and this should all help to take our dancesport to a wider audience.

All in all it seems like a great "Dutch Open" is assured and a big thank you due to the hard working and resilient Fred Bijster a true gentleman. A man who 100% believes that is the competitors who should have the freedom to compete where they choose .

Let the fun begin.............................................C U IN ASSEN.

Just my opinion but I would say, that after Blackpool, Assen and The Dutch Open has become the most talked about and discusssed competition in dancing and all thanks to the IDSF.

Without a doubt the Dutch Open is a top class well organised event but with an atmosphere of fun which makes it really special.

If anyone has not been before I urge them to take the plunge and if it is at all possible be part of Assen 2009-  I think there is one day left before entries close.
