What does it mean to be a member of DancesportInfo?

Being a member of DancesportInfo means being a member of the DancesportInfo community. Unlike visitors, who only come and go, or users, who just have a free account, members are an integral and important part of what makes DancesportInfo more than just a results listing.

When you become a member, you stop being just another anonymous user. You join the DancesportInfo family, and become someone we know, someone whom we can trust, and as such, someone we can treat differently to everyone else.

What is the DancesportInfo community?

Larger than a dance club, a town or even a country, the DancesportInfo community is a network of people who love dancing which spans the entire world, from the USA, through Europe and Russia, as far as China, Japan and Australia.

The DancesportInfo community is more than just dancers. It embraces dancers' families, dancers' friends, teachers and students alike. It includes most of the most renowned dance photographers in the world, and some of the biggest names in the dance world. In fact, anyone who really loves dancing is welcomed.

Because we trust you as a member, we can offer you many services and discounts not available to anybody else.

Access to our community services

We have always wanted to offer all our users the ability to post their comments on dancers and events, however we have never been able to allow this outside of our forum for obvious reasons. However, you as a member are trusted, and that trust lets us offer you the freedom to post comments on dancers' and couples' profiles, and on a competition's results list.

Access to a private forum

Although we provide a free forum for everybody, with no censorship, we appreciate that individuals can ruin this experience by abusing the freedom offered by anonymity. With this in mind, we provide you access to a private forum, where only members can post.

Discounts at some of the best-known dance companies

Many of the most famous international dance companies appreciate our role in the dance community, and have agreed to reward you as a member with discounts for many of their products.

As a token of our appreciation to you as a member, we offer you a discount on all photos purchases in any of our galleries.

Full access to DancesportInfo services

What has made DancesportInfo the global success that it is today, is that behind the pages you see everyday is a highly complex infrastructure of databases, algorithms and analysis engines, running on several servers dedicated exclusively to our site and its users. While we would like to offer everybody our full range of services, even our resources are ultimately limited. Therefore, we have decided to limit our most power-hungry functionalities to our members, including:

• Unlimited rating analysis
• Top rated couples calculated at any date
• Comparison of three or more couples on one chart
• (Coming soon) Statistical analysis of competitions

You will also be the first to receive access to any new features that we introduce, some of which will stay exclusive. As you will already have noticed, we introduce new features regularly, and we already have many exciting plans and projects for the next couple of years. We have already revolutionised how the internet benefits the dance world, and this is only the beginning.

Personalisation of your profile

When you become a member, we can identify you as a dancer in our database. From then on, your profile page really becomes yours, allowing you to modify certain parts, choose your photos, decide which result you consider your best or even add results which are not in our database.

Notifications

Updates on DancesportInfo are amongst the most awaited in the dance world. With our new notification system, you will be the first to know when there is an update which is important to you. You can select which couples or dancers interest you, and as soon as their results are updated, or photos of them are added, you will receive an instant notification by e-mail — or even by SMS.

How do I become a member?

DancesportInfo is run for the benefit of the dance world — as such, we appreciate anyone who helps. This help can come in many different forms: collecting results for us, translating pages, etc.. We receive a lot of information daily, however some of our users are very commited and make regular significant contributions to the site and with it, the whole dance community. These are invited to become members.

However, we appreciate that many people would like to help, but they cannot commit the time, don't go to competitions, don't know another language, or for any other reason cannot directly help. These people can instead help by purchasing a membership, allowing us to finance present maintenance and further development.

Silver membership

£49 per year (plus VAT if you live in the EU), or awarded for admirable contribution to the website.

Gold membership

£99 per year (plus VAT if you live in the EU), or awarded for outstanding contribution to the website.

Platinum membership

£249 per year (plus VAT if you live in the EU), or awarded for distinctive contribution to the website.

Honorary membership

This form of membership cannot be purchased, and is awarded for exceptional contribution to the whole dance community.

Club membership

This is a special form of membership for dance clubs — the cost has to be individually agreed with us.
